only 16 days!!!

Yesterday we went for our doctor's appointment and everything went really good. According to the sonogram Slayde is about 6.5 pounds! His cheeks are getting chubbier by the day! haha. Dr. Killeen still didn't think that I was going to have the baby earlier than the 12th even though I swear it feels like he is going to fall out on the floor. He said I have a large abundance of fluid and that is why I am really miserable. He said that he would much rather me have too much than not enough though. My doctor is so laid back and makes us laugh. I told him sometimes I feel like Slayde is just going to stick his arm out and wave he is so low down. He said if that happened to be sure I got a picture so we could be on the news. haha! Dr. Killeen said he would be really surprised if I went into labor this week but less surprised if I did next week. I had gained 5 pounds in 3 weeks which brings my total to 25 pounds! I gained 28 with Sagen so maybe I will be the same with Slayde. My blood pressure was a little high but nothing to alarm them about. I talked to him about my feet swelling and he told me to stay off of them as much as possible. I am still scheduled for a c-section on the 12th at 8:30 am. I am the second c-section of the day! I'm starting to get a little nervous but ready to see my little angel. And no...still don't have the bags packed! I did pack Sagen's bags and Slayde's bag. I did wash my pajamas and stuff like that but just haven't put it in the suitcase yet. I have the battery on the camera/camcorder fully charged and ready to go. I am working on getting stuff ready for my sub so I feel a little bit better as far as stress goes. (I gave up on getting the house clean.) Sagen wasn't too sure why I was packing her a suitcase. I told her that she was going to stay with Nana when mommy has Slayde and she wanted to know when that would be. I told her soon. Well I know I've been rambling so I will let everyone go!

only 3 weeks left

Ok, 3 weeks from Friday is the big day. I can't believe it! I am starting to have slight panic attacks when I think of all the stuff I still have to do. Everyone tells me that from looking at me they don't think that I will make it to the 12th. My doctor seems to think that I will though so who knows. I have no bags packed for anyone so i hope he doesn't come early! Sagen is going through some kind of emotional breakdown which is wearing on my already short nerves. She cries every time I leave her ANYWHERE. The past two weeks she has cried at church and they have had to bring her back to us. She cries at the sitter and anytime anything doesn't go her way. I guess its baby related. Im not ready at school either! I need to get my substitute plans done and ready which is hard to do this far ahead. My house is a wreck and I don't predict it getting clean before the baby gets here. However since we had a 6 hour visit from the Kirby man last week my den floor is clean. (and no we didn't buy the vacuum). So in case you can't tell by this post my stress level is off the charts! I hope everyone has a great week :)

Local Stock Show

Rusty helping Sagen show her lamb.

Excited after winning her trophy!

Sagen and her cousin, Jett, playing outside the ring.

Sagen showing her pig. She liked tapping him with her stick.

Sagen and Emily after the pig show.

This past Saturday we had the local stock show at Welch. The weather ended up being really nice and everything went great. They have a kiddie show after the big kids show and all the kids get a trophy. Sagen was SO proud of hers! When we got home she wanted to get down her trophies from past years and put them ALL out on her dresser. She has a whole line of FFA stock show trophies. It is really cute. She showed a lamb with Jessica's help and then she showed a pig with Emily's help. Rusty also went out and helped her with her lamb. She got to stay in the ring and hand out the ribbons after every class of animal. Needless to say she thought she was pretty big! It amazed me how much she has changed from the stock show last year. She wasn't scared at all to touch the animals! I guess you could say its in her blood!

33 week checkup

Yesterday I had my 33 week doctor appointment to check on baby Slayde. I had gained 1 pounds bringing the grand total to 20. Everything looked good with Slayde. The ultrasound showed him to be about 4 pounds. Dr. Killeen thinks that he might be a touch bigger than Sagen was. (She was 6lb 7oz so Slayde might be closer to 7). I still think he will be small like she was. He moves all the time and gets the hiccups every night around 10. Rusty felt them the other night and thought it was pretty funny. I asked the doctor if I would know if I went into labor because I never had any contractions with Sagen. He said I would definitely know! I'm just so nervous because it seems like everyone around here is having their babies early. I hope I make it until the 12th when my c-section is scheduled. Only 3 more doctor appointments until his big arrival! Its hard to believe. Well we are going to be super busy with stock shows and getting things ready so time is really going to fly. Hope all is well with everyone!

Sagen's 4th Birthday

Check out my new hat!

A pic with her cousins right before they left

Every kid that has their birthday gets to put their hand on the wall. Sagen picked to do her's in orange. She has much different taste than her mommy!
Well as you can tell we had a very busy week. We had Sagen's birthday party on Sunday at Jump N Jungle in Lubbock. Her actualy birthday is on Tuesday, but this week is so hectic we knew we couldn't have her party during the week. Sagen invited about 20 of her closest friends and cousins to come and jump with her. I think that all of the kids had a great time! Sagen picked a Disney Princess theme for her party. Debbie Farrar made the Cinderella cake and did a great job. It was so yummy! Sagen got a ton of stuff for her birthday from all her friends (thanks everyone!) and even got two frogs from her Aunt Kimmie. (Thanks! haha) Sagen named them jumper and froggy. They are actually pretty cute if I must admit. They live in a little aquarium and don't ever come out of the water. I have threatened Sagen that she better never try to carry the aquarium or get the frogs out. I would hate to try to "save" them if she dropped them at home! Well to everyone who was able to make the party thanks!

Sagen's First Snowman

Sagen's first hot chocolate. She put the marshmallows in...can you tell?

This is the snowman that she built ALL BY HERSELF. It was so sweet!

Our snow family

Rusty was showing her how to roll the snow to make the bodies.
Well we have been getting a little bit of snow off and on for the month of December. Every time that we have a little bit of white stuff on the ground Sagen begs to go make a snowman. She has never got to because we have never had enough snow. Finally right after Christmas we got enough for her to make a snowman. Rusty and Sagen made our "snow family" and then Sagen made one all by herself that was so precious. We could hardly get her to come inside it was so cold. After building her snowman I made her some hot chocolate~another first! She really enjoyed it.

Merry Christmas!

Oh my gosh! A Cabbage Patch!

Look what all Santa brought!

Our happy family at Mamaw and Papaw's house

Nana with all her kids and grandkids

Mom and Dad got us these really cool bags for school to carry our papers in.

Keatyn, Kamryn, Sagen, and Casen and Nana and Opey's house.
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday/break. We are so lucky to be able to teach Sagen the true meaning of Christmas. We have a manger scene and we talked about it all the time. I'm still not quite sure if she really understood but we tried to emphasize that Christmas is not about santa, it is about our wonderful Lord. We had Christmas at my mom's on December 23rd with all of my side of the family. The kids had so much fun and could hardly wait to open presents! They all got way too much stuff but their favorite were their snuggies. They all curled up on the couch with them when they were done opening presents. Who would have though?! On the 24th we went to Rusty's parents and celebrated with all of them. Again, Sagen got way too much stuff! Mamaw and Papaw got all of the grandkids new guns (Sagen's is hot pink) that we put in the safe until she gets older. Christmas Eve we went home and baked cookies for santa and then got ready for Christmas day.
Santa brought Sagen a vet center and a Barbie Jeep. She was SO excited! It was absolutely priceless seeing her face whenever she saw all of her stuff under the tree. She got a big thing of play do in her stocking and she said, "Santa must have thought I needed play do!" I thought it was pretty funny. Isn't is amazing how they like the most unusual gifts? You would have thought that Sagen's barbie jeep would have been her favorite but she liked her stuffed webkins cat and a little tea set. Kids are so funny!
