Spring Break!

Sagen and Opey hunting Easter Eggs

Slayde and Nana

Wide Eyed!

Yes, he still has some crazy hair!

He is really starting to develop a personality!

Well tomorrow officially starts Spring Break and I know most people are excited to be out of school for a week. I am excited but sad at the same time because it means that we are getting closer to when I have to go back to work. I hate to leave Slayde and have someone else raise my children, but I trust my babysitter and that is worth a lot! Since last Sunday we have been staying at my parent's house in Brownfield while Rusty has been in Houston. It has been an eventful week! I started out the week sick but feel much better. We took Sagen and Slayde to the Dr. on Tuesday because I thought Slayde was getting stuffy. Friday night Sagen started screaming and crying in her sleep. She said that her ear hurt so bad. She hadn't complained about it all day long so I didn't take her to the doctor. The first thing Saturday morning, my mom took her to the doctor here in Brownfield. She did have an ear infection and the doctor gave her an antibiotic and some ear drops. Saturday night I had put Sagen to bed and after about 30 minutes she came into the play room saying that she was itching. I took her pajamas off and she was covered in little red bumps. I called the pharmacist and the on-call nurse at my pediatrician and they think that she was having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. Talk about stress! I gave her benadryl and put some cream on the bumps and sent her back to bed. The good thing is that Sunday morning the bumps were gone. I am going to call her doctor tomorrow to ask about switching her antibiotic. I didn't give it to her today. Also, Slayde likes to sleep until 4 in the morning and then he's up. So to put it mildly...I'm ready for Rusty to be home! My parents have been a huge help and the kids have really enjoyed being here. The best news is that he will be home tomorrow! Here are a few pictures from our week in Brownfield.
