Dance Recital

Bailey, Jessica, Jordan, and Brittney came and watched her dance. She was proud of her flowers!

Look my tape! S-A-G-E-N

Aren't I beautiful?

The full costume!

Friday and Saturday Sagen had her first real dance recital. Friday night was dress rehearsal and it was so funny. I'm guessing that they told the dancers to march out there and find their tape. Well if you know Sagen you know she has a one track mind. She marched out and then stopped and started shouting "I found my tape! Right here...S-A-G-E-N! Sagen's tape!" It was so cute! Sagen is the youngest one to take dance. She is three and the other girls are 4 and 5 in her dance class. The rehearsal lasted until 10:30. On Saturday she did really good during the real thing. She actually danced (well made up some of her own moves). She was more interested in singing the words to the songs of the dance. I told Rusty next year we should just sign her up for voice lessons! Sagen loved getting her hair curled and wearing makeup like mommy. If you have seen the Hannah Montana movie then you are familiar with the Hoedown Throwdown. That was what they did for their finale. It was precious! Even if she is mine I must admit...she is a doll!

Looking cute!

Ok, Sagen has her dress rehersal and her dance recital this weekend. Friday night at dress rehersal we have to have her in hair and makeup just like it will be for the recital. I am kinda stressed about her hair! If you have seen Sagen lately you know she has some crazy hair! I borrowed some hot rollers from a friend and tried that out last night before the high school banquet. Sagen didn't know what to think about the rollers! She kept telling me that they were done and to get them out. I had to capture a picture of it and I even took a video because she was being really funny. I can't believe how big she is getting!

Casen's Birthday

Sagen's cousin, Casen Lucas, had a fun swimming party at Bodyworks. Bodyworks is a fitness center in Lubbock that has a swimming park inside of it. It is only about 1 foot deep and has a huge play center in the middle. It has two water slides and lots of fun toys for the kids to play with. Sagen had a blast playing with all the kids. I even caught a picture of Casen and Sagen holding hands~proof that they do love eachother! Keatyn did not want ANYTHING to do with the water! It terrified her. They are going to have a blast at the beach this year!

Beautiful Texas Sunset

For all of you that don't live in beautiful west Texas, I tried to capture one of our sunsets. They are so pretty. One night Sagen said, "Look at what God painted!" I thought that summed it up perfectly!

Kasen's Birthday

Sagen went to a barnyard bash at her cousin Kasen's house. They had a hayride, craft project, and played waterballoon catch with a parachute. After playing games the kids took turns hitting the cow pinata and getting all the goodies out of it. Randi made an adorable cow cake and had some yummy punch. Sagen even went up to her and made sure she told her how much she liked her punch. I told Randi next year at Sagen's birthday party I was going to let her plan it! She is so creative!

Trying out the video thing

Don't know if this will work because I am still learning how to do it, but I wanted to try to post a video of Sagen doing her ABC's. Wish me luck! I hope all of you that live far away will enjoy watching how much she has grown and changed!

FFA banquet

Last night we had the annual Dawson FFA banquet. It went exceptionally well I thought! Sagen wore her FFA jacket that the Hayes gave her at my baby shower when I was pregnant. It looked really cute on her! There were over 130 people at Rusty's banquet, which is amazing for Welch! The community really supports the FFA program. Sagen couldn't help but make a silly face when I tried to get her to smile pretty for the camera. Hope yall enjoy!

Watch out Tiger Woods!

Friday night we had so much fun. We met Rusty's cousins, Bobby and Randi and we took the kids to a miniature golf course in Big Spring. It was a blast! It was over 50 years old and was an actual old timey miniature golf course (not putt-putt). They had to hit the golf balls through crocodiles and windmills. The three kids enjoyed it almost as much as the 4 adults! I was very impressed with Sagen's golf skills! She really was a natural. Out of the four adults Rusty won. (He is the golf coach...so he should win!)

Before we could even get out of Big Spring Sagen was sound asleep in the car. She even let us sleep in Saturday (well if you consider 9:00 sleeping in!). If you go through Big Spring you should stop by there!
