doing a granny shot, didn't know how to rotate pic!

waiting for her ball to come

During the ag teachers conference in Lubbock we took Sagen to Main Event. She got to bowl and play lots of games. They put up the bumper guards and she had a great time! She was so proud of herself because she won enough tokens to get a stuffed dog in the gift shop. It was really fun!

This week has been fairly uneventful. The only baby news was that I started spotting again on Wednesday evening. I have no idea why...I hadn't done anything strenuous that day. I didn't bother to call my doctor since I talked to them Monday about spotting during the weekend. They just told me as long as it stops to lay down and rest and take it easy. Thursday Rusty and his dad did some furniture moving at our house. Sagen's furniture went in the baby's room and we converted her bed back to a baby bed. Sagen got our old bedroom furniture and we even put an old TV in her room so she can watch movies. She thought that was really cool! Friday our new bedroom furniture that we ordered from Ashley came in. We love our new furniture! It is black and brown and kinda has that rustic look. Other than that nothing interesting going on. Oh yeah, a few weeks ago we had Sagen's pictures made at JC Penney's. The little girl did a really good job! This was my favorite picture from the photo shoot. Hope yall enjoy!

Ups and Downs

Well this weekend was slightly uneventful. However on Saturday night I did start spotting again. It really scared me because it was more than I had bled before. I kinda had a panic attack and cried for nearly 2 hours. Rusty and I said a special prayer for the baby that God would protect it and everything would be fine. I haven't bled since but I called my doctor this morning and he said to take it easy. Keep us in your prayers that this is the end of the bleeding and worrying! I know its not good for the baby to get so upset but its hard not to!

Dr. Appointment went well!

Yesterday we had our first "real" doctor appointment with Dr. Killeen. I had already had a sonogram at the imaging center when they found the cyst, but he did another one in his office. The baby had an awesome heart beat that we were able to see and hear. I swear that sound can bring tears to your eyes! And more good news...the cyst appears to be getting smaller. According to his measurments the baby is 1.84cm long and the approximate due date is February 20. I have to keep taking the progestrone to help me stay pregnant, but they prescribed me something for the nausea. I have never got sick in a public place before...but now I have! (Sorry movie gallery!) He said I have to stay on them for atleast 4 more weeks...:( Hopefully I will feel better by the time school starts! The doctor did get on to me for not eating and losing 4 pounds. He said if I didn't start they would just put me in the hospital and put a feeding tube in my neck...that is definately motivating me to try to eat something...even saltines.

Last week Rusty went to Dallas for the state FFA convention. I was suppose to go with him and drive one of the suburbans, but I was still spotting and didn't feel well at all. My doctor advised I didn't travel so I stayed at mom's house. Sagen had fun playing with Nana and Opey and it was nice to kinda have a break! She even had a slumber party with Kiki and Casen. They had fun playing in the hot tub (of Nana's hot pool accorging to Sagen)

We spend the 4th of July with Rusty's family. That morning we went to the parade downtown and then ate some yummy food in the park. (I think that was the only meal I have actually enjoyed this whole pregnancy!) We made homemade icecream and Sagen had fun playing with her cousins, Bailey and Brittney! She liked eating the icing off of Mamaw's strawberry cupcakes!

This is a picture of an adorable outfit our cousin from Alabama, Mindy, sent her. Doesn't she look adorable?

Big News!

Well, some of yall caught it on the last posting, but if you didn't...we have a huge surprise! We are having another baby! We are all so excited by this unexpected blessing. It was a shock to us but God has his own way of planning your life! This pregnancy has been so different than when I was pregnant with Sagen. Currently, I am 7 weeks and it is due on February 22 (yes, for those of you who are doing the math...this miracle was made around the time of our anniversary, June 1! What a wonderful anniversary present!) For those of yall who don't know this has been how the pregnancy is going so far:
*I found out I was pregnant the first day of VBS and started spotting that night, I called my doctor the next day and he told me to come right in for blood work. The blood work confirmed I was indeed pregnant but the numbers were extremely low. The HCG was 200 and the progestrone (the hormone that keeps you pregnant) was only a 12. If it doesn't stay about a 20 you will lose the baby.
*They immediately placed me on hormones to try to raise my progestrone number. Two days later my numbers were looking better. (HCG had doubled and the progestrone was going up to a 17.)
* I started spotting again, and two days later went back and my progestrone had started going down again (a 16 this time). They decided to double the dose of my hormone pills.
*The following Monday I went back to the doctor and my levels had all rose and started looking good (my progestrone was a 22 which is good!) Of course...two days later I started spotting AGAIN!
*Two days later more blood to check again and my progestrone went back down to a 16. They didn't know why my levels were still going down with me being on such strong hormones. They decided to do an emergency sonogram the next morning (Thursday) to see what was happening.
*At the sonogram they saw that the baby was in my uterus (Thank God! They were thinking it was etopic) and they did see a heart beat! It was the best news I had heard in a LONG time! They also found the cause of all my problems...
*I have a large cyst on my right ovary. They said that it is causing the diminishing of my hormone levels and all of the pain i've been in. They are going to keep a close eye on it but there is nothing they can do for it right now. It shouldn't hurt the baby if I can only stay pregnant!

Well, between the constant pain from the cyst and the undescribable sickness from the added hormones this pregnancy has been quite different from the uneventful one I had with Sagen. Rusty and I were going to try to get pregnant during August so we could have a baby in May, but God had his own plans! One of my friends told me it was probably best I got pregnant when I did so I could get over this horrible feeling before school starts! I go back to the doctor on Tuesday...Will keep everyone informed on how that goes! Keep us in your prayers!

Playing babies

Sagen is so into playing with her baby dolls lately. I thought this was absolutely priceless. She was watching a movie and she sat out all of her babies so they could watch it too! She is going to be such a good big sister!
