Happy Birthday Sagen!

Mom and Kimberly at the party!

Slayde and Papaw would have to step outside because it was so hot in the pool area!

Rusty and I got her an American Girl cheerleader. She was really excited!
Slayde, oblivious to the situation, got his sister "Hi Ho Cheerio!" She was pumped!
Here is a picture of here with her icecream cone cupcake. They turned out really cute and quite yummy!

We finally talked Keatyn into getting in!

Blowing out the candles on the Hello Kitty cake!

All the kids at the party!

Well its hard to believe my little girls is 5! I got a little sad on her birthday...to me 5 seems so much older than 4! On her actual birthday I took ice cream cone cupcakes to her class and we let her open her presents from us that night. We had her birthday party on Sunday at BodyWorks in Lubbock. They have an indoor swimming center called "Splash Zone" with huge slides and lots of fun things for the kids to play with. They all had a blast! There were about 15 little kids there and it was so much fun watching them play. Sagen picked out Hello Kitty for her theme and Aunt Debbie did a great job on the cake!

Stock Show Time

Rusty holding Slayde and Tac. I joked with him that if we had twins this is what it would have been like.

Slayde got so tickled watching the pigs run around!

future stockshowers!

All of us after ths pig show

Jack helped Sagen show a lamb. She said she likes lambs better than pigs...we will see in years to come!

This past weekend we had the local stockshow here in Welch. It went really well and it was fun to see the "future" stockshowers! Rusty's program has been down in numbers, but when we see the kids that are coming up we see nothing but good things! This next weekend we have the county show in Lamesa. Keep us in your prayers! Stockshow time is a hard time on our family with Rusty being so busy, the kids miss their daddy!

2011....Year of Happiness

Well we were pretty much party poopers when it came to New Year's Eve. We stayed up until.....10:30! You can tell your getting older when you could care less about seeing the ball drop in Time's Square. I decided that 2011 was going to be a great year! I am not one for making "new year's resolutions" because I can't keep them very well. This year I am going to try hard to:
Work out as much as possible (to lose my "Slayde" weight!)
Try to see the positive in things
Not be so hard on myself and my body...this is what God gave me...I think I'm stuck with it!
To not get upset so much over little things (I think its still hormones lol!)
Enjoy every minute with my kids...its those small times that are the best
Just be happy!

Christmas Part 3...santa

Many of you probably could have predicted this...

The hat all lit up! lol
That night he literally fell asleep on his rollercoaster. We were cooking supper and he as riding it and he really fell asleep!
He thought his roller coaster was pretty fun!

Sagen trying out her new bicycle. Her biddy twin had to go for a ride too!

Slayde loved his tent!

Slayde got Sagen some peace sign house shoes!
Sagen giving her dad a present. He got a light up camo hat. She was proud!

Slayde checking out what santa left in his stocking! Tractors and goldfish!

Santa left Sagen lots of silly bands and bling bracelets in her stocking!

Don't think santa realized how big sagen's tent was!

Sagen checking out what santa left!
Santa was extremely good this year at our house. He left the kids a lot of toys. Sagen got a bicycle, an easel, a tent, buzz lightyear, and some clothes. Slayde got a rollercoaster, tent, and dancing mickey mouse. The kids loved all their stuff. I took Sagen to wal mart and let her pick out something special to give her brother and dad just from her. I think its important for her to know what it feels like to give gifts and not just receive them. She wanted to get her dad a "calico" hat. I said what?! She said for when he goes hunting...oh I see...camo! She found one that has a button on the bill that actually lights up. She was so excited to give it to her dad! He was a good sport and wore it all day long...even to grandmas! Slayde got her some house shoes with peace signs on them. After we had lunch (Nana and Opey came over because Kimberly didn't have her big kids and she was picking up family at the airport) and then went to Rusty's grandma's in Stanton. We had a great day!

Christmas Part 2 at Mamaws

We left santa some cookies and a healthy apple...lol...

This is the only family picture I got of us at Christmas. If anyone got a better one please send it to me!

This was an old stroller for one of the kids baby dolls. We put Slayde in it and he started sucking on the baby bottle. It was pretty funny!

Brittney and Slayde watching Mamaw's figures sing

Slayde was happy eating the wrapping!

Sagen got all of the princess barbies...Thanks Aunt Jana and Uncle Joel!

Slayde loves his bouncing penguin

Mamaw and Papaw with their grandkids

All of the "grandboys" Slayde LOVES Jack!

All of the "grandgirls"

We went to Mamaw and Papaw's house on Christmas Eve and had a good time. We went for lunch and then spent the afternoon hanging out. The kids opened up their presents a little after lunch and then we snacked the rest of the day. Sagen and Slayde both got so many toys...its hard to believe they still have santa in the morning. We left mamaw's house about 7:30 and on the way home Sagen was convinced that the flashing red light (off the tower thing) was Rudolph's nose. When we got home we were quickly baking cookies for santa (last minute...ha!) when Sagen heard a car door across the street shut. She went running through the house saying Santa is on the roof! We have to go to bed NOW! I had told her if she got up when Santa was here that the toys he had would disappear. I know...sounds evil now but it was the only way to keep her in bed while santa was putting out toys!

Christmas Part 1 at Nanas

Nana and Opey with all their grandkids. My dad can't take a serious picture! lol

After presents they all got their baths and put on the Christmas PJ's

One of these days he will kill me for the Ho Ho Ho on his hiney...

Slayde loved his barn shape sorter from Aunt Kimmie and Uncle Brucie

Walking Puppies!!!!

All of the big kids got matching robes. Last year it was snuggies...this year robes....next year??lol
Slayde opening his first present
Aunt Kimmie and Sagen

Its hard getting a good picture of 5 kids...i think this one turned out cute

If you know Sagen you know she has an obsession with socks...she got some little miss mismatch socks and loves them!

This year we had Christmas at my mom and dad's on the 23rd. We were a little late getting there because Sagen had been throwing up the night before. We thought we were good to go but she threw up again at lunch that day so we held off to make sure she was ok. She never got sick again and no one else got it so maybe it was something she ate. We had supper at mom's house and then the kids all opened their presents from everyone. Sagen had been wanting a walking puppy from wal mart and when her and Keatyn started opening them they started barking. Sagen's face was priceless! Mom had to keep them out in the shed because the whole time they were wrapped they would bark when you walked by them. After presents all the kids got baths and then played with their toys before we headed home. We all had a great time...makes me sad we can't see them all on Christmas day.

Christmas Program

Sagen's teacher brought them all sugar cookies and their own tubs of icing and sprinkles. They got to decorate them any way they wanted. Yum!

Sagen in the front row doing the motions to one of their songs

On the last day of school our elementary had an adorable Christmas program called "A Bugz Christmas" Props to the teachers for all the hard work they did trying to get 4, 5, 6, and 7 year olds to sing songs and learn their lines. Sagen was a lady bug and was really cute. Here are a few pictures of her during the program and at the Christmas party afterward. The night before we stayed up making chocolate covered pretzel sticks and Christmas ornaments for her classmates. They all turned out super cute!
