The pumpkin carving

Sagen working on her own. I told her to stick her hand in it and she wouldn't. She insisted on using the spoon!

Well this weekend was a very busy weekend. Sagen spent the night with my parents Friday after the pep rally. We thought it would be too cold to go to the ballgame and with it being such an important game; we wanted to be able to watch it! We 45ed Loop and are the District Champs! 2nd year in a row~Congrats Dragons! Saturday morning I went to Nicole's baby shower and then we had Fall Fling that evening. Sagen dressed up as a ladybug and was super cute. She didn't wear her antenna nor wings long. She told me the antenna was "making her head tired." At he Fall fling the booster club was having an auction of different Dragon stuff. Landon Brown bought the football helmet that was signed by all the football players Of course Rusty had to try it on. It was quite hilarious!

Sunday, after church, we carved our pumpkins. Rusty and Sagen scooped out the "guts" while I took pictures. It was SO funny! Sagen didn't want any part of the guts touching her hands and had to go rinse them off after each time she touched the pumpkin. We only got the pumpkins gutted and plan on carving the faces in them tonight.

Happy Birthday Rusty!

pounding out the dough

icing the cookie

Got to put lots of sprinkles!

The finished product!

Yes~our whole den looks like this!

Well today is officially Rusty's birthday. He is 33 years old. Last night he had a pig sale so I thought it would be a good idea if me and Sagen surprised him and made him a cookie. We went to the grocery store after school where she picked out the icing and the start sprinkles. I helped her smash out the dough in the pan, but she decorated it all by herself. She was so proud! Then she decided to buy some balloons at the grocery store to "decorate" the den. She blew them all up by herself and I helped her tie them off. Then she showed me where to tape them on the wall. It was priceless! Here are a few pictures of us in action!

fun weekend!

Me and Sagen at the pumpkin patch.

Sagen's new 4-wheeler. No mom~We aren't trying to put you in an early grave! lol

Aren't we a cute family! lol

Sagen learned this pose from Jessica! She is so funny now and blows kisses when you try to get her picture!

Well this weekend was full of activities. On Saturday we decided we would take Sagen to the movies and let her watch a cartoon. We figured that when the baby gets here there won't be much movie watching for anyone. Originally we were going to take her to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" based on the childrens book, but when we got there she decided she wanted to see Toy Story in 3D (the double feature.) We went early in the morning because tickets are cheapest then. We got seated and got some popcorn (Sagen loved her own movie meal and thought it was way cool.) About 10 minutes into Toy Story, Sagen announced that we should just go home and watch the movie at home. I laughed and told her no we just payed a lot of money and she was going to get to see it on the big screen lol. She didn't want to wear her 3D glasses, but I really couldn't blame her~they were huge on her little face! She kept telling me the movie was blurry and I told her its because she didn't have on the 3D glasses. After several bathroom trips and spilling our popcorn everywhere, we decided to leave during intermission. I think 2 movies back to back would have been a nightmare!

After the movie ordeal we decided to take her to a pumpkin patch on 82nd and Frankford to pick out a pumpkin. I don't know where she gets her style from, but I swear she picked out the ugliest funniest looking pumpkin they had. We coaxed her into getting a more "normal" looking big pumpkin to carve and we let her pick out two small ones~whatever ones she wanted. She picked out two that were dented and bruised~go figure.

That evening, Rusty got Sagen a 4-wheeler. No, not a little tykes one~A realy one! A Honda 90. It was Bailey and Brittneys and they outgrew it. We got a really good deal on it, and Sagen will have to grow into it in a few years. Donna and Greg gave her some helmets too. Sagen thought it was awesome and I took her riding down the street on it. It is pretty fun! I figured with Slayde coming we will be using it for MANY years to come!

On Sunday we had October birthday parties at mom's house. Rusty's, Kamryn's, and my dad's birthdays all fall this week so we celebrate them all together. The kids had so much fun playing all day and we had cake and lunch over there. Rusty had to leave early for a pig sale, and Sagen and I left after supper. She was so tired from playing with her cousins that she literally was asleep before I got to the stop sign at the end of mom's street!!!

Well I know this has been a long post~very busy weekend! But, its going to be an even busier week! We have the Fall Carnival at our school Saturday so I should have some pictures of it soon!

finally geting Slayde's room ready!

This weekend me and my mom went to Lubbock and found Slayde's bedding. It was so funny because I had picked out some online that I really liked, and we ended up finding it at Burlington Coat Factory. This weekend Rusty had to go to Oklahoma to look for pigs, so Sagen and I stayed at my mom's house. We had a good time hanging out with my mom and dad, and on Saturday night Sagen had a slumber party with Kamryn. Casen decided he didn't want to stay, I guess he was outnumbered by all the girls. Here is a picture of the bedding line I picked out. Let me know what you think!

Slayde's 3D sonogram

This is the pictures we got from our 3D sonogram on Tuesday. As you can tell, Slayde was not being very cooperative. The top picture shows his head at the top turned into my stomach. He has his hand covering the side of his face. If you look close you can see his little fingers. You can see both legs curled up at the bottom of the top picture. The bottom picture is of his foot. Hopefully next tims we can get some better pictures!

Slayde's 20 week checkup

We had doctors appointments on both Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Monday was with my normal doctor and I had gained 4 pounds :) So I am up 4 from where I started. Everything looked good. On Tuesday we saw a specialist so they could do an in depth sonogram and a 3d sonogram. My doctor does this at 20 weeks and 30 weeks just to have another opinion that everything is going good~a fresh set of eyes so to speak. Slayde looked great~he is 12 ounces and about as long as a banana they said. All of his organs were perfect~heart, diaphragm, kidneys, everything. He is right on target for size and was being really good. During the 3d part he was being ornery (like his dad!) and wouldn't turn his face. He had it buried in my stomach with both hands covering his face. It was still really cute to see his tiny fingers curled up over his eyes and his legs were tucked in. The nurse tried to get him to turn so we couldn't see him better but he wouldn't. I think he was asleep. So everything in baby world is going good. My due date is still Feb. 22 but my doctor said he would probably take it a week early since it will be a scheduled c-section. So we might have a little cupid coming! I can't wait! As soon as I'm near a scanner i will post the 3d pictures so yall can see him. That's about it...I go back in November to my doctor so nothing good until then. 20 weeks down...20 more to go!

South Plains Fair

Sagen and Rusty riding the Merry go Round. I was sitting in the drizzle, miserable while they rode this. It was the last ride of the day!

Rusty had to ride this one with her. I thought it was so funny to see him cramped in here with 3 little kids.

Yes I can't believe I let her do this by herself either. She had to climb all the way up the stairs by herself carrying that mat. Temporary insanity is my only plea!

Sagen riding a ride all by herself!

Sagen and Opey playing with the calf. They are two peas in a pod!

This past weekend we went to Lubbock for the South Plains Fair to watch the lamb show. The weather was kinda yucky and drizzle most of the day. I couldn't stay in the barn much this year. For some reason it really got my asthma being in the barn with those animals and all the shavings. I don't know if its because I am pregnant or what. I was wheezing after a few minutes and didn't have an inhaler. My mom and dad went with me to the fair so that way Rusty and I wouldn't have two vehicles up there. I don't think they had been to the fair since I was about Sagen's age! We ate some good fair food (cheese on a stick is heavenly!) My dad and Sagen managed to find a calf that was tied up behind the livestock barn. They had fun talking to it and throwing hay at it. I caught a cute picture of Sagen and my dad sitting on the pole.

After the show part was over Sagen finally got to ride some rides. She was SO patient all day long! She kept wanting me to take her to ride the rides but I couldn't ride any because I'm pregnant. Rusty had to ride some of them with her. Here are some pictures of our fun weekend~of course I'm not in any! I guess that's what happens when your the mommy :)
