Sewing up a storm

Sagen put on Casen's fireman suit. She had the whole thing on backwards. It was pretty funny!

All of the kids at Keatyn's birthday.

Sagen showing off her halloween dress. Don't know why she was doing the #1 but she was determined to do it.
Well this weekend was pretty busy for us! Saturday we had my niece's 2nd birthday party. Its hard to believe that she is two years old. We had it at my sister's house and were laughing at all 5 little kids running around like crazy. We really got tickled when we thought about next year adding another one to the brew! After the party we went to Lubbock and met my parents and had supper. I have been wanting to make Sagen some "pillowcase" dresses like I have been seeing online. Originally they are made out of old antique pillowcases but now people are using new stylish fabric. Me and mom decided we would make Sagen a Halloween one and if that turned out good we would make her some more.

On Sunday after church we all went to moms so we could work on Sagen's dress. I wanted to learn how to sew and mom was willing to teach me how. I did everything on the dress except the ruffle on the bottom and the bias tape around the arm holes. I thought the dress turned out adorable and when it gets cold we will put a black shirt under it. Here are a few pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Sonogram pictures

I was finally able to find a computer with a scanner attached to it so I could show you all the sonogram pictures. The top picture is a picture of Slayde showing off his "stuff." His two legs are on the outside with his hiney and "other" leg very visible. lol The bottom picture is an outline of his profile. His head is on the left and his abdomen and tummy on the right. So....definitely a boy!

16 weeks and counting!

I went back to the doctor yesterday for my 16 week check up. Everything went really well. I haven't been sick in about two weeks so that is a blessing. Besides being exhausted from school, I feel really good. At the doctor we found out that I still haven'g gained any weight. I really thought I would have because you can ask my classes~I eat all day long! At least I haven't lost any so thats good.

My doctor is really good about doing a sonogram everytime so we took Sagen with us to this doctor appointment. She was so good and patient (we had to wait an hour to see the doctor.) When he did the sonogram it was so cute to watch Sagen. She was most concerned about the stuff he squirted on my tummy. When she saw the baby on the monitor she started waiving at him. It was precious! YES its definately still a boy baby! Even to the untrained eye you could see little boy parts. Rusty was proud that it was still a boy and a healthy one. The sonogram measured him about 9.5 cm and put my due date on February 25. Mom said maybe I will have him on my birthday (March 9). I told her if I was still pregnant in March I would die! lol Well whenever I figure out how to put the sonogram pictures on here I will! He is so cute! Love you all!

bonfire!!

Thie was the wood that we collected before we set it on fire!

Sagen with the bonfire behind her.

Thought that this was a cute picture

Sagen and her buddy, Skylar, on the cheerleading float.

Priceless~Sagen and Mrs. Gary on her pink bicycle. Too cute!

Sagen posing with the cheerleaders. She is quite a poser!

Last night we had our bonfire and parade to get ready for the big homecoming game on Friday. Sagen got to ride on the float with the junior high cheerleaders and threw candy to everyone we passed. When we passed mimi's house (her babysitter) Sagen started throwing huge handfulls of candy in her yard. I said, "Sagen mimi isn't even outside" she looked at me like i was crazy and said, "Mimi will find it later and knew I threw it." I thought that was really sweet! This morning believe it or not Mimi had found the candy and showed it to Sagen. Sagen looked at me like "I told you so."

Sagen wasn't too crazy about the bon fire. She knew that we had worked hard stacking up all that wood and she couldn't figure out for the life of her why we set it all on fire. I kinda agreed with her~don't know where the whole bonfire tradition started. I must say that it was the biggest bonfire we have had in a while~could it be because Rusty was behind it all? lol Enjoy the pictures!
